Shake n Bake Pickleball

When my friend Joe decided to open Palm Beach County’s first pickleball exclusive retail store, I eagerly joined the team as the store’s photographer and graphic designer. I’ve developed a wide range of creative assets including social media graphics, product and promotional photography, in-store signage, a hand-painted mural (the “Dink Zone”), branded price tags, and large-format banner displays, all designed to build a cohesive and recognizable brand identity. I also refined the original logo and created a comprehensive font and color style guide to bring the brand’s vision to life.

Together with my friend Jamie, I co-manage the store’s social media presence. I handle all graphics and photography, while she manages post scheduling and copywriting. Collaboratively, we plan weekly marketing campaigns to feature new paddle launches and special promotions, while also maintaining and updating the store’s Shopify website. What started as a fun project among friends has grown into a thriving small business that I’m passionate about contributing to in my free time.

Within the first six months, we organically grew the store’s Instagram following to over 1,000, with content being reposted by leading national pickleball brands. We strategically plan content to encourage consistent community engagement and build strong connections with both existing and potential customers.

This collaborative creative outlet allows me to blend my passions for pickleball, branding and now cookies! Recently, we launched our first blog, Cookies and Courts, where we review local pickleball courts alongside nearby cookie shops, offering readers a sweet and savory lowdown. This side project has been a creative and exciting opportunity to expand the brand’s reach while having complete creative freedom to grow the business. Today, with over 4,000 followers, Shake N Bake continues to thrive, and I’m honored to be part of its growth and success.
