Food & Wine Concept Blog

This project is a concept design for a food blog and news site, created as part of a continuing education course. The assignment focused on designing and developing a custom responsive WordPress theme using hand-coded HTML and CSS.

I developed the visual direction for the site, including the color palette, typography, and layout structure to create a cohesive editorial-style experience. The design emphasizes large food photography paired with clear, readable content sections, allowing articles, recipes, and wine pairings to be easily browsed and discovered. Careful attention was given to typographic hierarchy, spacing, and content organization to support longer-form editorial content while maintaining a modern, lifestyle-focused aesthetic.

The theme was built to be fully responsive, ensuring the layout adapts seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. This project demonstrates both front-end development and digital design skills, translating editorial design principles into a functional blog platform.
